Clients, opportunities, estimates and tender submissions.
Business development records clients and opportunities. Estimators build the estimate from quantities, rates and supplier quotations, then the tender is reviewed and submitted. When the contract is awarded, the submitted estimate becomes the basis for project setup and the construction budget.

Process
How the work moves in ACMS
- 1
Record the opportunity
Capture the client, scope, location, deadline and the person responsible. Keep emails and documents with the opportunity.
- 2
Build the estimate
Price quantities with company rates and supplier quotations. Record assumptions and exclusions next to the figures.
- 3
Review and submit
The director reviews margin, risk and conditions within their authority before the tender is submitted.
- 4
Hand over after award
The awarded estimate creates the project, a draft contract and the construction budget, so nothing is re-entered.

When something goes wrong
What happens
A supplier quotation expires before the tender closes.
How it is handled in ACMS
The estimator sees which lines use the expired quotation, requests an update and records the change in the estimate history before the director signs off.

Preparing a demo
What to bring
One recent tender: the invitation documents, the bill of quantities, the priced estimate and two supplier quotations.
Book a demoCan we keep our own rate library?
Yes. Company rates are kept separately from project estimates, and each estimate records which rate version it used.
What happens to the estimate after award?
It becomes the starting budget. Later changes are recorded as revisions or variations, so the submitted figures stay available for comparison.
