eDocs

The site works from the issued revision.

Crews build from the drawing in their hands. Document control registers drawings, methods and submissions by document number and revision. Reviewers record comments and approval status. The site team checks the issued revision for each work order; QA/QC and QS reference it in inspection and payment files.

Process

How the work moves in ACMS

  1. 1

    Register the document

Record document number, discipline, revision and the related work package. Preserve the original file and metadata.

  2. 2

    Route the review

Assign reviewers and the decision owner. Keep comments and return reasons against the version being reviewed.

  3. 3

    Approve and issue

Distinguish an internal draft from an approved or issued revision. Record the purpose and recipients of the issue.

  4. 4

    Check the downstream use

Inspect work orders and submissions that reference a changed or superseded revision before proceeding.

On site

When something goes wrong

What happens

A revised drawing arrives after work has been assigned.

How it is handled in ACMS

Document control records the new revision and its issue status. The supervisor checks the affected work and replaces references only when the revision is authorized for that use.

Preparing a demo

What to bring

A drawing register, two revisions of the same drawing and their review and issue records. Include a work order using that drawing.

Does “latest” always mean “issued for construction”?

No. Revision order and issue status are separate. A newer draft can coexist with an older revision that remains the authorized construction reference.

Does an approval replace a legal signature?

Workflow approval and legal signing are separate controls. Specialist signature services and their verification requirements are scoped when required.

Book a demo with your own project data

Send us a sample schedule, work order or payment file. The demo walks through that process in ACMS with your team.
