Quality & safety

Inspections, acceptance, defects and site safety.

QA/QC engineers inspect work against the issued drawing and the inspection checklist. Accepted quantities move to QS; defects are raised with an owner and a due date and closed only after re-inspection. Safety permits, toolbox talks and incidents are recorded against the same project and location.

Process

How the work moves in ACMS

  1. 1

    Request an inspection

The site team requests an inspection for a work order and location when the work is ready.

  2. 2

    Inspect against the checklist

The inspector records results, photos and measurements against the issued revision.

  3. 3

    Raise and close defects

Each defect has an owner, a due date and evidence of the fix. It closes only after re-inspection.

  4. 4

    Record safety

Permits, daily talks and incidents are kept with the project, location and the people involved.

On site

When something goes wrong

What happens

The Level 5 formwork fails inspection on cover to reinforcement.

How it is handled in ACMS

The inspector raises NCR-007 with photos. The work order stays on hold, the crew fixes the spacers and the inspection is repeated before the pour is released.

Preparing a demo

What to bring

One inspection checklist you use today, a completed inspection record and an open defect with its photos.

Can consultants sign off inspections?

Yes, within the inspections assigned to them. Their access is limited to that scope.

Does a failed inspection block the next step?

It keeps the related work order on hold and the quantity out of the claim until the re-inspection passes.

Send us a sample schedule, work order or payment file. The demo walks through that process in ACMS with your team.
